AFTERLEADS
Terms of Service
Effective: 6 October 2026Last updated: 17 October 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of AfterLeads, a service operated by AFTERLEADS, a South African company (enterprise number K2026762903) (“AfterLeads”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using AfterLeads, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
AfterLeads helps businesses make sure no enquiry is forgotten, from the first message to a clear yes or no. It records genuine opportunities, shows what should happen next, schedules follow-up and supervises communications until an opportunity is deliberately closed.
Features may include connected communication providers, manual contact, assisted message preparation, review-before-sending and eligible automatic delivery controls, a public enquiry page for your business, spreadsheet import, business-scoped Analytics, user-requested exports, team access, feedback and operational history.
AfterLeads is not a lead-generation, legal, accounting or professional-advice service.
2. Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
You may use AfterLeads only for a business or organization that you are authorized to represent and only with customer information and communication channels that you are lawfully permitted to use. Business Owners control shared business settings and team membership; invited members must use only the access granted to them.
3. Your data and instructions
You retain responsibility for the opportunity, customer and message content you enter, import, approve or instruct AfterLeads to process. You grant AfterLeads the limited permission needed to host and process that information to provide, secure and support the service.
You are responsible for reviewing imported information, contact details, follow-up settings and messages when the selected workflow requires your approval. AfterLeads does not guarantee that contact information is current or that a recipient will respond.
If you share your enquiry page, you are responsible for how you use the enquiries you receive through it. AfterLeads never contacts a person who sends an enquiry unless you add the enquiry as an opportunity and choose to follow up.
Your customers’ personal information
For the personal information of your customers, enquirers and other contacts that you enter, import, receive through your enquiry page or connect through a provider, your business is the responsible party under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and AfterLeads acts as your operator. For that information, AfterLeads will:
- process it only to provide, secure and support the service you use, on your instructions and under these terms, unless the law requires otherwise;
- keep it confidential and allow access only to people and service providers who need it for that purpose and are bound to keep it confidential;
- maintain appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against loss, damage and unauthorised access, as required by section 19 of POPIA;
- tell you without undue delay if we reasonably believe it has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, and give you the information we have so that you can meet your own notification duties;
- use only the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, under written terms that protect the information at least as well as these terms, and publish any change to that list before it applies;
- transfer it outside South Africa only to those providers and only with the safeguards section 72 of POPIA requires;
- help you, where reasonable, to answer a request from a person to see, correct or delete their information, or to object to its use; and
- delete it from the active service when you delete it, the opportunity or your account, as described in section 9, subject to bounded backups and records the law requires us to keep.
As the responsible party, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to collect and use that information, for telling your customers how you use it where POPIA requires, for honouring objections and opt-outs, and for meeting section 69 of POPIA when you send direct marketing.
Automated language assistance
AfterLeads may use automated language assistance to prepare, redraft or summarize user-facing content from the relevant opportunity context, communication history, timing, playbook instructions and your directions. Such output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is not treated as evidence of delivery, a customer reply or an opportunity outcome. You remain responsible for reviewing content whenever approval or your specific business knowledge is required.
Analytics and exports
Analytics describes the evidence available to AfterLeads and does not guarantee a sales result or attribute a result to the service. If you download a report, you are responsible for securing it and sharing it only with authorized people.
4. Connected providers and communications
Gmail
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, you authorize AfterLeads to use the permissions disclosed during Google consent only to provide the connected Gmail features described in our Privacy Policy.
WhatsApp Business
Connecting native WhatsApp Business is also optional and is available only when that integration is enabled. If you connect it, you authorize AfterLeads to use the WhatsApp Business Account, business phone, approved templates, message and delivery events needed to provide the connected features described in our Privacy Policy. You remain responsible for having authority to use the business number and for complying with Meta’s applicable business-messaging, template, consent and opt-out requirements.
Automatic follow-up
When you enable eligible automatic follow-up, you instruct AfterLeads to perform the approved routine communications and server-side mailbox checks needed for that feature, including while your browser is closed. Automation remains subject to the opportunity state, your settings, provider availability and safety checks. You are responsible for selecting appropriate recipients, lawful content, timing and follow-up controls, and for reviewing prepared communications whenever approval is required.
AfterLeads may detect messages sent or received through Gmail itself or another mail application connected to the same Gmail mailbox. A message changes an opportunity only when AfterLeads has sufficiently reliable provider or user-confirmed evidence linking it to that opportunity. We do not guarantee that every provider event will be available immediately or that every message can be matched automatically; uncertain or unavailable evidence may pause provider-dependent automation and require your review.
Your responsibilities when contacting customers
You must not use AfterLeads to send unlawful, deceptive, abusive or unsolicited communications. You remain responsible for complying with applicable privacy, consumer-protection, electronic-communications, direct-marketing and anti-spam laws, and for honouring opt-outs and Do Not Contact instructions.
Manual or external email and WhatsApp actions may depend on third-party providers. Opening an external provider does not prove that a communication was delivered; where AfterLeads asks for confirmation, you must confirm accurately. A channel is treated as natively connected only when its provider integration is enabled and produces the required delivery and reply evidence.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- access or attempt to access another user’s account or information;
- circumvent authorization, security, rate limits or follow-up safeguards;
- upload malware or use the service to harm, deceive or harass others;
- use AfterLeads for scraping, unlawful prospecting or mass unsolicited campaigns;
- reverse engineer or interfere with the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use the service in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
6. Third-party services
AfterLeads relies on third-party services such as Google, Meta, hosting, database and communication infrastructure. Their own terms, account requirements, limits, message charges and availability may apply. Your use of Gmail and WhatsApp Business remains subject to the relevant provider’s applicable terms and policies. Google or Meta may restrict, suspend or revoke API access independently of AfterLeads.
We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, but we design AfterLeads to fail safely and surface relevant failures rather than silently treating protected data as absent.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, secure, correct or update the service and its non-core presentation. We will not intentionally weaken ownership isolation or core data-protection safeguards merely for convenience.
8. Free launch and fees
AfterLeads is offered as one complete standard product. During launch, AfterLeads is free to use with the complete currently available product and no card needed. Free launch access is not a paid plan, and we may end it with reasonable notice.
The price and billing period displayed on the pricing page will apply only when paid subscriptions become available and you deliberately complete an authorized checkout. We will not automatically convert free launch access into a paid subscription or charge you without your deliberate authorization. AfterLeads Business is a future package; its features, eligibility and pricing have not yet been confirmed.
If access ends or changes, AfterLeads does not automatically delete existing opportunities, history or accepted work. Some new actions may become unavailable until appropriate access is restored. Internal safeguards, storage protections and reasonable technical controls may apply to protect the service, but customer-facing pricing does not promise unlimited usage.
Any price, billing period, included functionality, cancellation terms and refund or money-back guarantee expressly shown at purchase will form part of these terms, subject to applicable consumer law. No refund or money-back guarantee applies merely because it has been discussed or described outside the published purchase terms.
9. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using AfterLeads at any time and may disconnect Gmail or native WhatsApp Business without closing your AfterLeads account.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address unlawful or abusive use, comply with law, respond to a third-party provider restriction or resolve material non-payment. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Deleting an opportunity
An authorized user may permanently delete an individual opportunity by completing the explicit in-product confirmation. That deletion is final in the active product and removes dependent operational records, subject to bounded backups and records that must be retained for security or law.
Deleting your account
You may request account deletion from Account Settings after secure reauthentication. A newly accepted request has a server-controlled 30-day cancellation period during which account access and owner-controlled automated contact are suspended. Cancellation restores access but does not automatically restart cancelled outreach or renew a cancelled subscription.
A sole owner's finalization removes that owner's business and its active-service records after required cleanup is verified. An owner with another active member cannot use self-service deletion. A member's deletion preserves the shared business and de-identifies required historical attribution. Provider, backup, security or legally required records may remain for a bounded period.
You may request connected-provider disconnection or remaining Google- or WhatsApp-related data deletion by emailing lebogang@afterleads.co. Revoking provider access or disconnecting a provider does not by itself rewrite legitimate historical business records.
10. Intellectual property
AfterLeads and its software, branding and service materials remain the property of their respective owners. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended business purpose; they do not transfer ownership of the service.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, AfterLeads is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee a particular sales outcome, customer response or business result. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, AfterLeads is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the service or third-party services. Any limitation applies only to the extent it is lawful and reasonable in the circumstances.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve a dispute directly before pursuing formal remedies. Mandatory consumer or privacy rights remain unaffected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. We will publish the updated date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
