01
Understanding AfterLeads
What AfterLeads does, and what it is not trying to be.
01What is AfterLeads?
AfterLeads is a follow-up tool for service businesses that get real customer enquiries and send quotes. For every open opportunity it keeps track of where things stand, who is responsible, what the next step is and when it is due, until you win or lose the job.
It stops good opportunities from slipping because the next follow up only lived in someone’s memory, inbox or spreadsheet.
03Is AfterLeads a CRM?
No. AfterLeads is not a general CRM. It is not a customer database, a configurable sales pipeline, a marketing platform or a project tool.
It does one job: it makes sure every opportunity is followed through to a clear outcome. If you need broader customer records, you can use AfterLeads alongside a CRM.
04Is AfterLeads a conversion tool?
AfterLeads makes it more likely that you get a fair shot at every job, but it can’t promise that every opportunity will turn into a sale. Pricing, trust, fit and the quality of your work still decide that.
What AfterLeads fixes is a problem you can prevent: losing work because nobody followed up or nobody knew what to do next.
05Does AfterLeads generate leads?
No. AfterLeads starts once a customer has already asked you for something. It doesn’t run prospecting campaigns, buy leads or create demand.
Getting the lead is one job. Following it through is another. AfterLeads is built for the second job.
02
How opportunities move
How each opportunity always keeps a clear position and next step.
02What happens after a lead enters AfterLeads?
Each opportunity gets a current position, a clear next step, a person responsible and a date for that step. As you contact the customer, they reply, plans change or you record a result, AfterLeads updates the next step for you.
You don’t have to push every enquiry through the same sales funnel. At any moment you can answer three questions: where are we, what happens next and when?
08What happens when a customer replies?
Available now · supported channels
A customer reply comes first. When a connected Gmail account or WhatsApp Business number picks up a reply, AfterLeads stops the routine follow ups for that opportunity and brings it back to you, so nobody gets chased after they have already answered.
For replies on channels AfterLeads can’t see, such as a phone call, you record the reply yourself. AfterLeads can prepare a suggested response, but you decide what to say and when to send it.
10How does AfterLeads prevent opportunities from being forgotten?
Every open opportunity must always have either a specific next step with a date, or a clear reason it is waiting, with a date to check again and a plan if nothing happens.
If AfterLeads can’t confirm that, the opportunity goes to Needs attention instead of quietly disappearing. History keeps a record of what happened, so anyone can see why the next step is what it is.

Communication and human control
Where AfterLeads helps, and where your judgement stays in charge.
06Can AfterLeads work with WhatsApp?
Available now · connected or manual
Yes. Owners and admins can connect a WhatsApp Business number so AfterLeads can send approved follow ups and pick up customer replies. We are switching this on for businesses in stages as Meta approves access.
Without a connected number, AfterLeads prepares the WhatsApp message, you send it from your phone and then confirm it was sent. Opening WhatsApp is never counted as proof that a message went out.
07Can I still contact customers manually?
Yes. You can still call, use WhatsApp from your phone or send email from another account. AfterLeads keeps the next step, a prepared message and the next review date organised, and it never assumes contact happened just because you opened another app.
When AfterLeads can’t see the message go out itself, you confirm what happened. That confirmation is what moves the opportunity on safely.
04
Fit and access
Whether AfterLeads fits your business, who it is for and what it costs.
09Is AfterLeads useful for businesses with only a few leads?
Yes, if each opportunity is worth enough that a missed follow up costs you real money. A contractor with six open quotes can need this more than a busy business with lots of small enquiries.
Volume is not the only test. It helps most when several quotes are open at once, customers take time to decide and relying on memory has started to fail.
11Who should use AfterLeads?
AfterLeads is made for small service businesses that get real enquiries and send quotes, proposals or estimates. It helps most when several opportunities stay open for days or weeks and one or more people need to follow them up.
Typical users are installers, contractors, maintenance businesses, printing and signage companies, technical service providers and professional services firms, often with around 5 to 30 people. How you work matters more than how big you are.
